350 g/m² PUR DUVET D'OIE "000"#

A natural matter Down is a natural matter, used since time immemorial to keep warm.. It is a body produced by the skin of water birds, on the belly and under the wings, to protect the vital parts during their migratory journeys.

The down is made of long and fine barbs called barbules and contrary to the feather, has no shaft. Its origine is the same as the scales of reptiles, the ancestors of birds.

Exceptional properties As for wool and hair, the α and β keratins help the down to resist physical and chemical agents. This explains its longevity. Retaining the air in its multiple filaments, the down is an excellent heat insulator, all the more effective since it favours the circulation of steam.

Down processing Our experience guarantees to preserve the natural properties of the down (volume, impermeability and durability), without addition of useless chemicals and in the respect of the required hygiene standards. The soft treatment confers our “000” sleeping bag a higher than the average aptitude to evacuate humidity, and our total quality control guarantees to you a 800 CUIN * (cubic inches) minimum down sleeping bag , without additives. * CUIN: unit used in the international down used in high mountain equipment tests. .

Plain satin 100% cotton#

One has to bear in mind that the sheen aspect is originally due to the type of weaving: - linen weaving: 1/1 one fibre over/one fibre under - twill weaving 1/2 - satin weaving 1/4

The down is washable#

Never dry-clean a duvet, an eiderdown or any other “TRIPLEZERO” product or you'll  risk irreversible destruction of the down.
Never  wash cushions, pillows, or bolsters, because the filling of these articles is very dense in order to support the weight of the head. Drying is much too long and risks to degrade the product for good as well as cost you a fortune in energy . The filling remains good, it is the fabric that gets dirty. It is cheaper to send it to us, we change the fabric, ventilate the filling, add to it if necessary, and you set out again with a new pillow for a few years.

Washing at home (bedding care)#

For small articles, children items, small duvets for instance - washing machine settings: cold wash, program wool or delicate + normal spin-drying, with a neutral soft detergent such as household soap. One can dry them in domestic 5kg dryers as in laundries.
For large articles, large duvets or eiderdowns, cold wash in bathtub, dry in open air. The down must open in the course of the day, for that it is from time to time necessary to undo the down bundles which formed during the wash and  then shake the item. Make sure that the down is completely dry before storing it.

Washing in self−service laundry (bedding care)#

Washing machine settings: cold wash, program wool or delicate + normal spin-drying, with a neutral soft detergent such as household soap.
Drying in dryer at low temperature for 1 to 2 hours until the sleeping bag opens, because when wet it tends to gather in bundles.
Let it rest for one night and put it back in dryer for 1 to 2 hours to finish drying.
Let it rest 24 more hours before storing it.

Triple Zéro Maintenance (bedding care)#

We carry out the maintenance of our products: you send us your product .
A wash every 5 years on average is sufficient.
The cleaning costs 54€ + postage (16€ for France, 23€ for E.C. and Switzerland).
